Good Morning All,

Just Two weeks…….

It does not seem possible but Labor Day weekend and football are just a short two weeks away.

At five the morning it was a nice 66 with a gentle breeze the heat has slowed me down this summer not that I was all that fast top begin with.

CTG is very happy were he is and what he is doing. Year two he is now completely focused on the college game. Word I am getting he loves to teach and loves being with his young charges. A mentor in the making?

More important is his family loves the area. Nobody is happy until Momma is happy……

We may still be another season from having a completely shut down “D” but without questions this group will turn some heads.

One ole dawg tells me that this group knows how to tackle; they get to the ball very quickly and deliver the wood when they arrive. Music to my ears!

It is no small blessing for CTG to have a LBC such as KO that has extensive NFL experience this allows CTG to focus on the big picture and know that the LB’s have a position coach teaching the way that will fit his overall scheme.

Not only the same book but also same page and paragraph. This will be huge going forward in building our defense.

Last year CTG spoke about making the other teams QB very uncomfortable and forcing him to make perfect plays each down. This season I think he has the players to make this happen more often.


I am looking for off the chain-controlled chaos from our “D” with all out effort each down for all four quarters.

In a word - “Relentless”

yankeedawg1, thought for a minute there I was reading something that I had written.

Brother, you are on target. Cannot disagree with a single point made above. Extrememly happy that KO is here, disappointed that Belin left. Works out for all involved.

CTG can now do the little things that good coaches do, coach. Eleven players and several coaches will improve CTG's stock considerably. Looking for much more out of our defense this season. The talent is there, both coaches and players.

We are short timers, D Day is close again.

Especially agree with your point that next year's D may well be THE "shut down D". Hoping this year we will see signs of it but still leery of our safety play.....need more experience, we'll see.

A friend of the family has a son who is a walk on for Georgia, plays OL.

He said IC is a beast, completely different skill set than the other RB's.

We gotta roll BSU.
