I actually agree with you. Offense requires a lot of timing and the plays can be more involved in terms of the overall tactics, so getting an offense up to speed should take a little longer. Knocking off the rust, or putting on the primer for the rookies, just takes some time. I wasn't surprised that the receivers had a rough day.
Also, I read AMs comments that they were only allowed 8 plays to run per drive, then turned over on downs, so no matter how good they did, they really couldn't finish off a drive. Don't know how much that played into it.
My main take away was that we at least have two backs who can be competent running it. Okay, Samuels fumbled, but it IS practice, and they have a little time to fix that. He's a big boy, so I think he has the strength to hold it eventually. I'm concerned about Boo though.
