Go Dawgs!
From Athens - "Frantic Five" was created by yankeedawg1
Good Morning All,
“Frantic Five” – Just five more Saturdays without football.
Not to ruffle any feathers but here are my feelings on the “New” uniforms:
At this point in time we could show up in Atlanta wearing only Jockstraps and Helmet liners and play the game at midnight with no lights just as long as we win the damn game.
I am with Churchill “Victory at All Costs”, short of any form of cheating.
Come week two I will return to being a uniform traditionalist. Truth I would love to see the real “Silver Britches” between the hedges against USC.
Buc, nailed the real reason for the Nike Combat uniforms. Money and lots of it, endorsement cash for UGA- sponsorship coin for Chik-Fil-A Bowl fund.
I agree about any kind of sports game being called a “War” is an injustice to those serving or those who have severed.
I can remember Kellen Winslow Jr. making the following statement on 11/10/03 after a game Miami lost to the Vols:
"It's war," Winslow said Saturday, his voice raised in the locker room.
"They're out there to kill you, so I'm out there to kill them. We don't care about anybody but this U. They're going after my legs. I'm going to come right back at them. I'm a ... soldier."
He got toasted and rightly so.
Football returns to Athens starting this Tuesday. Not any to soon for myself.
Not since MS & KM has our team had my interest this early.
I am calling them If’s & Butts gang.
IF most of the if’s fall in our favor and they continue to work their butts off we will surprise many of the Nay Sayers. Starting with BSU and then playing twice in the Dome in 2011.
CMR used one of my lines last week in stating “The Best Is Yet To Come”
This is true about our football program and for me it is a benchmark for living my life.
I am glad we have moved on to something besides “Sunshine Pumpers”
We have not heard much from SEC SEC and that would lead me to think that some may just be a wee bit more cautious about kicking this year’s Dawgs.
CJT has been working on adding strength to Russ’s bite and he is showing much improvement. Woof Woof Woof!
Thanks Buc for asking about Georgia last week. She sends her regards and thanks you for acting as her agent in securing a treat reward upgrade for the coming season.
Pause and give thanks.
Have a great weekend and a safe week.
As always “Go Dawgs” !!!

yankeedawg1, a bit slow this morning punching the keys. Agree with wlayton that you make excellent points. There is a reason for that, anyone reading your "Friday Blue Plate Special" can feel the sincerity in your statements.
Do want to make one point that I have not seen mentioned in any of the posts. Bobo did say that he maybe did not use good judgment when AJ was out. Almost feel that he was succumbing to some of the pressure I am sure he feels along with others in Athens.
Bobo in effect said that he either did not know or did not have the confidence in the other players to effectively use them. I am not jumping on Bobo, simply saying what I think was an apology being presented for last years disaster. As the offensive coordinator, he more than any other person/coach on the team has to know the capabilities of everyone that he allows on the turf. Maybe Bobo grew an inch after making a statement like that. I hope so. Not going to jump up and down, just pay closer attention to his every move this season.
Thinking maybe this will be a catfish and oyster weekend, and probably tilt one or . . . .
To you and all on this board, have a great weekend, and remember this . . . Coach Them Up!
:woohoo:

Why it is not the same in Athens this year heading into the start of football season.
1. Coming off our first losing season under CMR
2. AD Mac putting all the cards on the table about whats needs to be done
3. Second year for CTG & CML
4. First year for CJT ,CWF and new LB coach "O"
5. Second year for AM and third for OC
6. Truth in being humble and calling yourself out for past mistakes by the coaching staff
7. Players willing to buy into CJT S&C program and see the results
8. Weeding out of the ME first players
9. Dream Team freshman who will play-learn- and make us a better team
10.Very winable schedule
Thats my first ten... like hear from the board on the next ten !

I read that too, Buc, a couple of days ago, and actually had a tirade all typed out and ready to post, but then I deleted it--because even the most causual of readers of this forum probably knows how I feel about Bozo, so I gave him a pass on that one.
