Bowling anyone?
"Could he end up playing some kind of "Wham back" in a short-yardage situation? That's possible. He's a big boy. He's athletic. He's got hands, too. Who knows, we might do that. I know this, he's wearing a single digit, No. 6, so he thinks he's a skill player." - Richt on Johnathan Jenkins playing some offense.

The three TE is the future equalizer against teams who have fast, undersized LB's.
Plus, it's less that Bobo can screw up.

I read where AM said that IC was making some of our defenders "fall down" when trying to get him. That's just awesome.
if that is the case then our D has not changed much from last year......Lattimore made a few "fall down" as did the MS. State running game and Newton last year....

If we can work this offensive line thingy out, and as sadlerdawg said, give Bobo some help with understanding four quarters of offensive football, interesting results, maybe.
Still believe that what we are seeing in Athens is what yankeedawg1 said. Grantham and JTII are doing things the right way, kicking the BMOC's to the curb, that is if they choose to play and practice the same way as they have the past three or four years.
My opinion, it is not IC's team to put on his shoulders. That tag belongs to AM. Take AM away from this team and what ya gonna do . . . . Pressure this year sits squarely on #11. IC will be able to showcase his talent because of heads up folks like AM. Team first. Bobo, might want to get out of the way . . . . at least a little bit.
Coach'em Up . . .
Buc, feel REAL good about our starting 5 on the OL but we had better stay healthy at least for half the season to get some of these pups some playing experience. Front 5 will be tough, just zero depth. CMR said in his press conference he expects Jones to win the Remington award this year.
AM does love IC.
yd1.....awesome post, got my blood going on a tired, long week, Friday. All points well taken and had to stop and read that again about ONLY 6 more Saturdays.....THAT's CLOSE!!!
Have a great weekend as well my friend.

Been a proponent of the three TE set for UGA for a couple years now. It would cause mismatches for all the defenses which are so small today.

Started to mention your name BulldogShannon, also thought maybe thriller had posted on the same alignment.
Some of my reasoning is like wlayton posted a while back. Arthur Lynch. Big man that can now be classifed as "animal". Mean that in the best sense. 6'5", 272 pounds of man. Think it is going to be folks like Arthur Lynch that turn this team around, if it turns around. Lynch is as big as many tackles and guards playing college football. Anyway, have high hopes that Lynch is used. . . . .a lot.

Buc, I noticed in the spring game that when he runs an 8-10 "hook", you can NOT cover the guy. He is so big, if AM puts the ball in his chest, a DB just can't get to it. Plus he's got great, "soft", hands. Automatic 3rd and 7, move the chains. Real sleeper....until he runs over you.
