Thanks, Buc.
wlayton, I think Spurrier's idea is quite corny. He said it would come $21,000 a game, or roughly $250,000 a year out of the "coach's" pockets. If that ever passed, would we be surprised to see coach's salaries increase by that same amount???
Same thoughts I had after reading Spurrier's comments. Dollars coming out of the coaches pockets . . . right. Back door raise.
Spurrier also playing the sly fox with his comments. Does not hurt his recruiting efforts at all. Playing both sides for his benefit and aiding "his" football team. Young recruits, not all, some see SS as being on their side of the game. It is a damn game. Notice that Spurrier said that Garcia has turned over a new leaf . . . how many times is this.
Looking a bit closer at the comments coming out of the SEC meetings in Destin, sorry, Richt seems to be a bit intimidated from what I gather. Not beating him up, just do not think that he will hit the floor with hand raised like Saban or Spurrier, or several other coaches in the SEC. Won't really argue the point, just looks a bit timid to me. Huge upcoming season for Richt.
