CMR on the radio

Heard CMR a couple of days ago talking about the recruiting class and he sounded pretty excited and somewhat relieved (concerning the OL). He said that 7 lineman where in school right now (5 OL and 2DL) and that the admin did a great job of helping to get these kids in quickly (the whole process went smoothly) so they can get to work. He felt great about MS and was noticably excited about Moreno and King. Since we only have 2 returning OL he sounded upbeat about the situation now, except for the fact that now the kids need to step up and perform. Think he now is really looking forward to the spring and this upcoming season.

Some of you have hit on the real deal: we had a great class last year that was mostly redshirted. I have it on great authority (a kid I coached in hs who is on the practice field everyday) that the kids redshirted are awesome. Moreno is unreal, Ward is as good as the other TE’s we have had and next year we will have 4 head hunting safeties on defense(Byrd, Jones, Banks, and Johnson) two with experience and two RS. I asked about how we will replace all 3 LB’s and he said no worries with the guys redshirted.(Hebron and Dent and Dewberry) We need the OL to gel and Stafford to continue to improve. If those happen expect better things next year and great things in two and three years. Great work Coach Richt

Yeah, I knew we had 6 redshirts that could have played, if not started last year, so our skill players should be awesome and very exciting players making many big plays. Most had forgotten that we had 6-7 not good, but potentially great players that will play this year. Again, this year should be good and next year great ('08). One problem in '08 is that UF is going to be great as well. Should be one heck of a game and could be one with NC implications when they play.
