There would not be enough seats on the bandwagon if/when we win both. I am working on tracking down a positive sidebar comment I heard coming off campus about our defense. "Go Dawgs"!!!

Is it September yet? I'm feeling a little light headed. I need football. I think I'm in a waking-nightmare - I dreamed someone said there will be no pro football this year . . . isn't that silly? . . . "what the wooorrld needs now, is football, sweet football . . . it's the only thing - that there's just too little of".

Someone please help me make it through this horror show called the "off season".

Folks we are still a long ways from September and we have a hot summer to get through. It takes forever every year so I have to have mini goals to get me there with some sanity left.

I break the summer down into manageable pieces.

From here I just look forward to the NBA finals (it is something).

After that I eye the 4th of July and the wifes B-day on the 10th.

From there is the long stretch to some point in August when my Publix starts stocking the fall Harvest Moon pumpkin beer from Blue Moon. Once that has arrived I know football is a week or two away and the weather will be cooling and I will be alright.

Now I think I'm going to go put a cold towel on my head and see if I can get some sleep. Maybe I'll wake up and it'll be September 3rd. I'm sure that foolish dream about "no pro football" will have me laughing.
