Signing Day 2007 was created by southernlover
Fellow Dawgs, it has been an emotional roller coaster the last couple of weeks watching where the studs who had not committed were going to wind up. I along with many others was disaapointed that we didn't land some of the top in state prospects such as Allen Bailey. I think we did a great job with the beef that we have added on the O and D lines. Much needed protection for young Matt Stafford and hopefully open up some running lanes for Lumpkin and company. Could anyone believe that we told DJ Stafford \"No Thanks\". Does anyone know what happened there? When you add in that our last two recruiting classes have been in the top 5, I think this is going to be an exciting season! GO DAWGS.

my personal opinion on Stafford is. Uga does not play second fiddle to kentucky. Sorry I may take it personal but if a guy chooses a top rate school is one thing, but to second guess the dawgs for Kentucky is a major slap in the face.I read that he called the coaches Monday and they pulled the offer and told him no. I hope is cause they feel they same way i do. UGA is a first class school and if you dont think we are then go to Kentucky.

I was told that UGA said no because he wasn't going to be able to get in school and they were tired of making that same mistake as in the last couple of years.

I understand that they were also tired of him wavering with his commitment to sign with us. The academic thing didn't bode well for him, either.....

I am glad we did not get this brilliantly gifted moron. We should just clone the heart of David Pollack..........distill out the special matter that makes players bust ass and not act like a primadonna..........and inject it into every player we get.

You're right, it's amazing the attitudes some kids can get when they haven't even played a down or laced up their shoes yet.
