Good Morning All,

Well the first part of the week it was fun city here as we had a major snowstorm hit Athens and the Atlanta area on Sunday night. Today (Friday) at 6AM it is a lovely 16F on the drive into work.

I spent the first two days home in front of the fireplace with Georgia drinking way too much coffee and passing gas.

Georgia’s major complaint was the yucky frozen white stuff that was covering her bathroom floor. It was really not graceful for her trying to do her business when all four legs go in different directions. I am praying for a heat wave to melt this mess. So far it is going unanswered. Maybe God’s an Auburn fan?

Going forward I am going to stop using my negative voice that took over this past season when speaking about our football team. We may have had good reasons but enough is enough. Looking forward we are undefeated in 2011 our challenge is remain that way.

It is what it is for now; kicking the cat and beating a dead horse won’t do any good. No I am not going extreme Sunshine Pumper however I am going to focus more on the positive. If there is to be a coaching change it will play itself out.

CMR and his staff are in charge of our program, no we don’t have to like it but we need to stop the carping, as it will do more harm than good. The team and new recruits need to feel the full strength and support of the Bulldog Nation.

The word from several sources on campus is ADGM has given CMR what his expectations are for the football program both on and off the field for 2011 and the future if he is to remain head coach. The clock is ticking, my read is GM is a man of few words and will take action sooner rather than later. My gut feeling is that fixing the off field problems will carry as much or more weight than the W-L’s in CMR future.

Once again the rest of the country saw in the BCS NC game what we watch each week. It is SEC defenses that win championships.

To this end we our in better shape with CTG than WM.

Watching how the Cowboys fell off this year on defense gives substance to his worth to our program. I feel we will see major improvements with our “D” in year two under CTG.

My suggestion of him being our new HC was T-I-C.

wLayton thanks for being a good sport and not boxing my ears back! I am but a pup in the shadow of many Big Dawgs on this board.

It struck me this weekend how little had been discussed about how we reduced by a large amount the number of penalties called this year on our team this past season. I guess it was easy to overlook with all the other flotsam.

Congrats to KD on his new baby boy. I am sure there will be a new head coach when he is ready to put on the Bulldog Red & Black.

CMR has a son Jon who plays QB at Mars Hill and wants to follow his Dad and coach football. Dooley Part 2? Relax KD it would never happen, would it? Why do I hear the theme from the “Twilight Zone”?

The holidays have come and gone and now into the winter funk.

Still be good to give thanks this week, as we are truly blessed.

Have a great weekend and a safe week. As always “Go Dawgs”

As always look forward to your friday posts yd1

Still over half a foot of snow up here - ingles parking lot has several 8-10 foot snow mountians where they plowed the parking lot - it has been below 10 the last 2 mornings what little bit that melts just refreezes

Tell Georgia that we're going to have a heat wave this weekend maybe 40 here close to 50 for Athens - then rain

Agree that MrMACK has had the big discussion with cmr and think we have already seen MACK's hand at work - more will be coming in the future

Think if we get that Jenkins NT - CTG's D will be MUCH improved - after all like many on here have said - D wins championships

I don't think we're too negative - mostly frustration - how about offering constructive critisim

Thanks Rabundog, I would lean more like total frustration and do agree constructive critisim has value.
But to my thinking even any CC is hindsight and hashing the past. Fixing what needs to be fixed has to be done in the present and future with a positive mindset. Along that thinking several players left workouts yesterday tweeting that its was the most difficult and intense with a total different routine since they have been here.

Not going to try and pull this thread in one direction or another.

Your last statement pretty much gets to the point RabunDog.

Offer constructive criticism. That has been going on for some time now. When deaf ears fall on what fans and alumni think might be wrong with the goings on, then it becomes criticism. Some of it is frustration, some of it is growing weary of seeing adjustments made after their hands have been called and forced into situations that should not have occured in the beginning.

yankeedawg1, can appreciate Georgia's attitude toward the cold weather. I used to train and hunt bird dogs, and they always liked the South Georgia climate much better than the upper reaches of Georgia. Some of our biggest concerns were rattlesnakes. Cold as it is throughout the state now, snakes get down in those holes.

I can respect your feeling and position on the back and forth. That is what is so great about these blogs, we can participate in a thread or just push past it.

Have a great day and hope that you folks get back to normal soon.

yd1....as always, a great, entertaining post to start all of our weekends.....thanks.

In agreement with you on all the bashing. Stated so in an earlier post. We all know the deal, time now to just let it go and play out.

Also agree on the D getting better if we can land Jenkins but also feel we are in dire need of more depth as well.........one "chop block" on Jenkins and we are back to square one again.

Oh.....and good luck to Georgia on her "bathroom breaks". :)
