Fran's recent commentary seems to reiterate what many here have been saying for some time. Had Mark taken the opportuntity post-game/post-season to offer more than his routine Gomer Pyle rendition of "All is well", perhaps I'd feel less aggravated. Fact is, the program is circling the bowl; pun intended, and the reality of a "Dream Team" savior season is beginning to slip out of his reach....deja vu....all over again!!!!

NC_Dawg, does appear the dream team idea is slipping away. Some players still out there, but from first ballot returns, does not look good.

Taking note of the photo that you posted, takes me to this . . .

Program in decline for . . . seems to be a disagreement on this board about the number of years. Think that most of us agree that there is a serious problem in Athens, there has been a decline not an upswing in the program.

Now comes this from different places on the internet, makes me wonder even more.

Dallas Cowboys now have Grantham's name popping up as defensive coordinator. Read some of the material coming out of the DFW area and a lot of the fans want Grantham back. My question is how did Grantham's name pop up so quickly after his first year with UGA. Seems a bit strange to me. Maybe CTG has seen enough of the drama and lack of hard nosed football at UGA and let his name slip back into the arena. Speculation of course.

One of the main reasons that the fans in the DFW area want Grantham back is . . . they love his kick ass attitude. Defensive line not the same after he left.

Then I look at Richt's comments and he says things like this . . .

Coach Bobo will remain the OC and the QB coach. What the hell is Richt going to do? He does not have the mental capacity to run a full fledged college football program. Again, he is at best a coordinator. Going with gillette on this one, Richt should have been elsewhere sometime back. Sorry, another VD hire that did not work out.
