Good Morning All,
With the crush of Christmas over it is time to enjoy a final dose of college football via the bowl games.
I enjoyed watching the Nerds fumble their bowl game away. It may keep the North Ave crowd quite and in hiding for a few weeks, one can hope.Dee-light-full!!
Word coming off campus is ADGM has already had an impact on CMR.
The word I am getting GM does not hold back anything and gets to the point without dancing around. He has shared the love and his expectations with each of our head coaches.
There will be stiffer recourses for any off field issues in all sports. GM wants to keep a clean house and no surprises. Our winter workout program for football is going to be completely redone. More on this will be made public after our bowl game.
Coaches can’t say much but from several places I have heard again we can expect some pleasant surprises come Feb 2nd. Disclaimer here is the Da’Rick factor, which I hope we have seen the last off.
First things first, win our bowl game. Then a full court press to recruit and sign the players we need to fill our needs. Take a short breath and then light a fire in the weight room that will burn and get hotter until we kickoff against Boise State.
It is time to leave the excuses behind along with finish the drill, every waking minute between the end of the Liberty Bowl and our next game in Atlanta in 2011 needs to be used by our players and coaches to focus on getting us to again be competitive for the SEC championship. Over the past decade it has shown if you can win the SEC championship there is an excellent chance you will play for a NC also.
Wishing everyone a safe and a very “Happy New Year”. As always “Go Dawgs”
Go Dawgs!
