Position Change Figgins/Rome ???

14 years 2 months ago #33662 by Buc
Watched Richt's post practice interview, came away thinking that we might have gotten tipped off about a certain recruit coming to UGA.

With Figgins taking snaps in the backfield, big dude, that might turn out to be permament next season.

If Rome comes in, he is certainly going to play, no doubt. If Figgins with his great size can do the job, just like having another blocking lineman in the backfield. Think that AM would love that. Figgins can also catch the ball. Found this to be interesting.

Interesting article below, seems AM is ok with things.

Would love to see a 260 lb FB who can also catch. Maybe in 2011, 3rd and 1 won't mean 20 yard patterns down the field:)

Right on Shannon. Get the dang first down.

Good article. Bobo probably has probably held a little more blame than he deserves. I would say 95% of his play calling has been good. In just happened to be that the other 5%, have come in times where games are won and lost. He is growing and getting better as an OC. I believe that he will end up being a really good one. Just wished he would have had a little more experience in the classroom before we named him the teacher. Life is about learning. Hopefully he will have it figured out next year, or he won't have to worry about answering to Richt. They will both be standing in line together.
