Rumors....but GOOD rumors

Well this is not good news for us - but here it is

Keep hearing it's more than just a possibility that Dana Holgorson, the offensive coordinator/quarterbacks coach at Oklahoma State, will be leaving Stillwater to take over the same positions on the Florida coaching staff. More than one source has indicated that talks with Florida head coach Urban Meyer escalated over the weekend and that it's a distinct possibility that Holgorson is heading to Gainesville very soon. It's an unsubstantiated rumor at this point, but one that seems to be picking up legs by the minute.

RabunDog, if this does happen, shows first off that UM needs help in his coaching ranks. Lost Mullen and the team has not looked the same since. Plus Miss State took it to UF.

Secondly, shows that UM is not going to live with those that cannot get it done. Decisions have to be made to keep ones status in the SEC and nationwide. UM has had top recruiting classes since his arrival in Gainesville, so it is not a lack of talent.

Maybe UM hears footsteps. With his talent base, Florida AD will not put up with SS and Mullen coming into Gainesville and walking away with smiles. Just my opinion, maybe he should have taken his lifelong coaching dream and departed to South Bend.

VaTech hands it to FSU, FSU hands it to UF. UF continues to hand it to us. Sometimes coaching changes make a huge difference. Just saying . . . .

Agree Buc - I think CMR and ADMG have had some interesting talks

MG comes from an atmosphere of action instead of talk

Sure Foley has UM's attention and they will not hesitate to make needed changes - that's what I'm hoping MG does at UGA - if your team isn't "in the hunt" you might be in the hunt for a new job

RabunDog, I don't doubt for a minute these statements you made. Folks here in Florida will not put up with Bama, Miss State, South Carolina, Florida State kicking them. Strange how those teams could beat Florida and we can't. What the hell is going on? Talent? Coaching? We beat GT regularly, but that is about it. This cannot continue.

I like hearing that on IC. That is what my booster friend told me a couple weeks ago and it is good to have it said somewhere else. FYI, the same guy who told me it was a lock with IC also said the same about Ray Drew.
