From Athens- Swat The Nats

I would like to see OC try moving to wideout. We don't have anyone with the strength that AJ has for a wide reiever or height. TK has the speed and hopefully will pickup the strength this off season but still likes the height advantage.

And hopefully we pickup a RB (a good one that can play right out of the box). But I'm worried we're not going to get IC. I was in the Tate center saturday night and ran into CL and he said IC was not there with the rest of the recruites that he had meet with.

stanger.....here's info from my inside guy about IC. He WAS in Athens.

"IC supposedly had a great time in Athens. Looking better with him, but it’s far, far from a done deal. It helps a little that Alabama has come back to reality this year."

He may very well have been. I talked with CL in the line for the bathroom before the game he may just not got up with the rest of the recruites yet. But CL sounded really pumped about coming to UGA next year and his exact words to me where don't worry there's some stud's coming in. We where talking about AJ and Houston most likely leaving.

stanger, this is from Chip Towers recruiting blog on ajc.com--

Athens — Went to the Georgia-Georgia Tech game at Sanford Stadium Saturday night. It was a wild one, as usual, but I didn’t go to see the game as much as I did the recruits.

As everybody knows it is a huge recruiting weekend for the Bulldogs. Dozens of prospects were expected and it looked like they all showed up. You’re not permitted to interview or take pictures of prospective student-athletes (that’s what the schools call them) while they are on a recruiting visit, so I can’t provide any keen insights. But I can give you a quick rundown of what I saw.

(1) As I tweeted early this evening, Georgia’s No. 1 recruiting target was in the house. Carver-Columbus running back Isaiah Crowell, accompanied by several teammates and family, was decked out head to toe in Bulldogs’ gear. Of course, he famously (or infamously) wore an Alabama cap to the Auburn-Georgia game a couple of weeks ago at Auburn. This time he had on a beige Georgia cap turned backward over his dreads, a red Georgia pullover and red, black and white tennis shoes. I couldn’t take a pic so I just figured I’d describe it for you.

(2) Crowell was one of at least five AJC Super 11 members at Sanford Stadium Saturday night. Also there were Grady DB Damian Swann, North Paulding WR Chris Conley, Griffin DE/OLB Xzavier Dickson and Valdosta TE Jay Rome was there but didn’t see him either. I didn’t see Wilcox County QB/DB Nick Marshall, though one recruit told me he thought was there. Thomas County Central DE Ray Drew passed up the visit, as I reported he would earlier in the week.

Good read. But I didnt see anywhere on there about CL. I did also see XD him and CL where together with I would guess there Coach's the name tags said Coach under there name's lol. I got a gut feeling this might be the best recruiting class UGA will have in a long time. And if IC will come out and just verbal to us I think there will be a lot that follow's.

I didn't paste the whole article, stanger, sorry. At the end he said he didn't mention 2011 commitments, hence no mention of CL. It's in the ajc.com uga sports section if you want to read the whole thing.
