I don't post as often as I use too and I guess that's a good thing. I want to tell you about a real college football game I watched last Saturday. It's the way football was meant to be played at the college level. The Dawgs were off so I was pulled to watch another Bulldog team play the mighty Crimson of Havard. Yes I watched the Yale vs Harvard game in it's entirety. What impressed me the most was there was no "dancing" or "prancing", no chest thumping, no fingers being waved in the air, just good hard nosed football. This is not a racist comment, the teams had both white and black players on both sides of the ball. There is something to be said for Ivy League football. No athletic grants are given in the Ivy League, only scholastic grants are given. This the way I remember SEC football being played. I can live without all the jumping & dancing around after a play, just hand the ball to the ref and get back in the huddle. This type of behavior is really begining to ware on me. Old age is the most likely cause. I watched the Georgia vs Auburn game and between the grining quaterback and unnecessary and late hits by a "prancer" & "dancer" made Yale & Harvard was a great change of pace, the game played by players that were responsible for their actions on and off the field. This is what I expect of college athletes, and the way they should conduct themselves. When there is no discipline in these young mens lives for 17 years how do you expect a coach to teach discipline in the 4 or 5 years they are on campus. Just some rambling of an "old man" Now I got that off my chest let's go and beat the "HELL out of those dirty jackets.
Have a great Thanksgiving everybody & As always GO DAWGS!!!!!!!!!
