Yes I know Lattimore was the no 1 recruit in the nation, and that was part of his top ten class from this year. He will get another top 10 class next year. We have had top 10 classes 4 or 5 straight years with the exception of this year. Where have we gone with all these prize players. We have gotten worse each year for the past 3 years and nothing that is being done makes me think things will be different next year.
The old ball coach is a much better coach than CMR, and now that he is getting better players, you are in dream land if you think we will beat USC next year or the next if nothing is done at UGA.

Of course Richt is a worse coach. The state of S. Carolina does not produce nearly the talent to keep that team relevant year in and year out.
When Spurrier leaves SC will fade again.
Exactly. They have to compete with Klimpson for recruits in an already talent-poor state. These athletes are being COACHED UP to a level far beyond their normal capabilities. Spurrier is basically squeezing blood out of a turnip at that program.
I think it's funny people are calling them a rising power for winning the east with 3 losses in a year when Georgia, Florida, and Tennessee have fallen off the map.
Their crowning achievement for the next 20 years will be strolling around Lenox Square Mall and the Underground looking for souvenirs to commemorate their once-in-a-generation SEC title game loss to traditional power Auburn.
