That is the official position taken from the Auburn administration when asked today if Cam Newton would be eligible to play in tomorrow's game.

I'm like Buc and many others, in that I want AU's best team on the field tomorrow. A win over a team without CN does not tell us much and really is an injustice to all of us as CFB fans.

As the fecal matter gets thicker for CN, it's gotta make you wonder why the school would go from "he's playing, period, end of story..." to "no comment" in 24 hours.

DawgnLA, you can be sure of one thing, me too. Now that the FBI is involved in this investigation, there is a solid reason for that.

Makes me sick to my stomach that a father would do some of the things that have been alleged about him to this point.

Too many of these young men have absolutely no guidance, and it is only going to get worse. If "if" CN's father is a pastor and did this sort of maneuvering, that goes past sad. Reminds me a bit of the "Jim and Tammy Fay" thing that occured some years back. Follow the money.

Here is where it is going to be a problem. If AU was aware of these allegations prior to CN signing on, they could end up in the same situation that Southern Cal finds itself now. Might not be this year, might be down the road. One thing for certain, there will be some chapped butts on the Plains.

Here is where we are . . . . win at all costs, both Pee Wee, High School, College and Pro.

The sad part of Cam's college experiences (more than one school) is that he is an incredible talent, yep, incredible. With just a bit of foresight, Cam is on top of the world, and 100K or 180K is peanuts.

This will not drag out like Reggie Bush's lack of truth did. NCAA knows that they are in a situation where they have lost their grip. Check out North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia and the list goes on and on.

There was a big difference of opinion on this board some time back about whether or not a student athlete should or should not receive extra money. Won't go into that again, I was on the losing side, however, mark these words, that will happen or this type of thing will continue to raise its ugly head.

Finally to what you said . . . . I would be pissed if we did not have Cam playing tomorrow. He is there, the coach said that he will play, said that publicly. Bring it on, let us see what the difference is between two SEC football teams. Is the only difference Cam? Don't know, let's flip the coin.

Go Dawgs! Big Spotlight Tomorrow on CBS . . . . . Nation will be watching.

Agree Dawgnla/Buc

I want him to play tomorrow - was looking forward to see how our D players/staff could handle the best O player so far this year - some of the best rated defenses have not been able to stop him - slow him a bit maybe but no one has STOPPED him - I just hate that all this crap true or not has come out now - I just want us to somehow pull off a miracle and win this game because we played/coached better - not because of some other reason - because if we were to win - you know all kinds of excuses will be given besides the best team won on that day

GO DAWGS

RabunDog, not a doubt about Cam's talent. Personally, think that Cam caught some of the SEC off guard early in the year. Still not doubting Cam's talent. Now everyone is aware of what this young man can do, so . . . . . let us see what we can do.

Heard a couple of talking heads say that he can't be stopped. Not sure that I buy that, tomorrow we will see if he can be stopped or slowed.

There are a lot of games in the last few years that I have looked forward to. This game against Auburn has me turned on more than ninety percent of the games that I mentioned above.

Talking heads say that Auburn will rally around Cam. Ok, maybe our defense will rally behind CTG. How many times have I said this . . . . lots of talent in ATHENS.

GO GEORGIA BULLDOGS!
