Buc, you are probably right but think Dallas will only go after a proven HC......not a CTG type situation.
Agree totally. JJ needs a high profile coach to go with that high profile billion dollar stadium.
It would be a perfect spot for Jon Gruden. Reason being . . . he does not have to draft anyone, the talent is there. He is a much better offensive mind versus working the draft.
He came to Tampa Bay, the pieces were in place. Played the team that he left (Oakland) in the Super Bowl and knew every play they were running and when they would run it. Coach that took over after Gruden (Gruden's assistant) ran the same system entirely that Gruden had put in.
John Lynch who was a super DB for Tampa came off of the field in the Super Bowl and said this. . . . .It is like JG told us, know where every play is going. Now that is what I call a "game plan".
Gruden loves the spotlight, does well when the cameras are rolling.
Gruden said more than once that he was lucky to have Brad Johnson. BJ picked up the encyclopedia that Gruden handed him and understood right away. Have seen many others in Tampa Bay that could not get past Gruden's first chapter.
Gruden knows how to attack a defense. He said to Kiffin, stay with me, I don't care if I am head coach or not, you be the head coach, but promise me that I can run the offense. Kiffin and Gruden made it work for a while with players drafted by previous coaches.
Gruden's weakness, goes with the "old farts" too often.
