Just looking over Saban's record's

Certainly wasn't aimed at you sadlerdawg, I know you know the story. I was just saying let's take what steps we can NOW and go on from there. I would be as excited over Mark Whipple as OC as I was about CTG as DC.....maybe more, he's very good.

My point is that I don't know if he will be back or not. If he is, i hope he wins every game. If he is gone, I hope the next guy wins every game.

Saying he is not a good coach is like saying that Marino was not a good QB because he never won the big one and struggles his last couple of years. Or that Jeff Gordon is not a good race car driver because he hasn't won a championship in the last 8 years.

If you don't like his style, and want him gone, that is fine. But if you are going to say the man is not a good coach because of the last couple of years, to me that is not accurate.

You have a false conception that I truly believe I have to convince you that Richt is a good coach. Well, I don't have to. His record should do that.

Read post like Best we can hope for next year is a new OC, or I will disappointedly watch Richt come back next year.

Why not say that I hope the man does well next year. If he does well, that means we do well.

If you are so disappointed, then don't watch. Don't support them if it bothers you that bad. I am pretty sure they will still play the games and more than likely sell Sanford out.

I can just imagine it. Everytime UGA does something wrong next year, "See honey this is exactly why I told you we should have fired him" Then everytime something goes right "That kid is a great player". You know those people who just sit around thriving on negative results. Believe my Uncle calls them S*** Stirrers

AD5, you probably know that I have agreed with your posts.

Truth is, I really like CMR but am on the fence right now whether he can take us to a NC, just not sure. But I DO know this, they have a future great DC and if they can get a great OC, I believe most of the battle is won. Face it, every program has got to have a great recruiter and I feel CMR is one of those. He can recruit with the best of them.....GOT to have that, it's a MUST.

I have always backed CMR as a person and coach but will admit that I'm not convinced one way or the other just yet. Believe some of his late downfall came from bad choices for his two main coordinators........one may be fixed on the defensive side, now take care of the offensive side and let's see how we roll.

Posts like this annoy me. Don't watch? Don't support them? Are you seriously telling me how to be a fan? I'm going to Athens to the game this weekend. I will always support them. So really, as much as we disagree, I would appreciate not being told how to be a fan. If you think I thrive on negative results, you have not followed my posts over the years. I am happy and praise the team and coaches when they do well, as I likewise call them out when they don't. Whether you agree with that or not, It's my right as a fan. I don't have to be happy with the state of affairs in Athens, and I will post that if I want. Since we're now in the business of telling members what to do, if you don't like my posts, Don't read them.
