Thought I would start a clean post.
My guy just emailed me this.....interesting. Back to the practice days 5,6,7 years ago.
Richt finally showed some fight yesterday. Monday’s are normally in shorts, and they focus on conditioning and special teams. Instead, they went full pads yesterday, and went #1’s vs the #1’s, which they never do in the season. Richt said that it’s the first time that they’ve ever gone full pads on a Monday since he’s been there. They did goal line, and Richt told the defense that the offense would be running the ball, not passing. Richt said that the loser of the drill would run. Richt said that the tackling and blocking has been poor, and that they needed to toughen up. He also said that they’re going to do the same thing again today. Richt was very outspoken, and showed a lot of fire last night in his call-in show. Said that it was dumb that it took them a quarter to get the ball to AJ. Rumors are going around that Richt will be involved in the play-calling on Saturday. Though Richt won’t throw Bobo under the bus by demoting him, I think that you’ll see Richt with the headphones on Saturday, and he will be involved.

This is Tennessee, not much more needs to be said. Appears Richt is trying to get some of that fire back in his belly. He is top Dawg, buck stops with him. Appreciate these tid-bits from your guy wlayton. Reading between the lines, very informative.
Go Dawgs . . . . don't like urange.

This team needs to learn how to win. No, not just win but destroy. If last year's Tennessee game is not motivation, God help us.It's about time.

Yeah.....that's unbelievable to me. I wouldn't pull for UT if my mother was the coach. Couldn't bring myself to do that.....would wish her well though, afterall....she is my mother.

wlayton, my guy must know your guy because you are spot on with the news coming off campus.
Watching CMR on the sidelines the past 4 games you have watched as he has had a melt down inside. His exterior by no means reflects what is going on inside. The coach that went to Boulder was not the same that came back to Athens.
We all knew of the changes needed to our program starting with WM.
Each of us would have done it with different time line. Some would have not stopped with the removing of just 3 coaches on defense.
I am not going to try and fill you with physco babble about us looking like world beaters on Saturday. However you will see a more focused head coach. Yes he will be calling more plays but he won't show up CMB. A HC needs also coach his asst coaches as well as the players. This may be an area that CMR looks to put more stock into in the future.
A very fine line seperates success from failure, our AD has already stated he won't seek any coaching changes until seasons end. I am fine with that as it makes no sense knowing we would not be able to hire anyone under contract with another school. Go Dawgs
