I agree recruiting is not the problem, but just say you are a promising recruit choosing between us and a top tier program (which we are absolutely not anymore) what about the coaching staff at UGA would make you want to put your future in their hands? Our OC's vast grasp on play calling or how about the complete lack of motivation each week. An example would be Isaiah Crowell, which id say its safe to assume all here on the board would welcome him with open arms, he sat down last night and watched the Bama game then watched our game. Even though bama was behind early and not playing particularly well, they never panicked. They got back to their brand of football and really earned a good win, thanks to a belief in what they have been taught by their coaching staff. Then he got to see our masterpiece of a game behind our ever so experienced/talented line and the brilliant offensive mind of Bozo. Id be surprised if he watched our game past halftime, im sure he had better things to do with his saturday night. My point is we will not lose recruits because of the fans attitude toward a horribly lost and dysfunctional team. These recruits will take one look at our coaching staff and run the other direction (in Crowells case he will run very quickly and shiftily). Because honestly if playing football to make a living was your dream who would you rather play for Saban or Richt. As much as we dont want to think about it we are just a stepping stone to the next level for these guys, and if something doesnt change they WILL head for greener pastures.
Quite the contrary, Crowell also knows he will START for UGA as a freshman versus being redshirted AND possibly have to wait on Lacy as well. You don't need to look any further than Lattimore at USC. The only reason he went there is because he KNEW he could start as a true freshman......why else would you go to USC, they haven't EVER done anything. It's very important to be able to play NOW so they can head to the NFL after 3 years. Don't believe they want to redshirt anymore.
