yankeedawg1, thanks again. You have this old fart ready to play.
Couple of things to remember. SS was hired by SC for his offensive (both on and off the field) prowess, supposedly. What SC has been noted for since his arrival . . . defense. Makes some wonder, not me.
SS coached at UF and there is so much talent in this Gator rabid state, UF should never be rated out of the top ten. That is plain and simply a fact. Georgia is not far behind, and that is where one of our major problems have been. Too many quality athletes making their way to Alabama, Auburn, Florida State and yep, Florida. Sometimes, South Carolina. . .
Coach Grantham can make a major statement for UGA and its future recruiting program if these young men make their way to Columbia and play like they have been released from the chain that you mention, the chain that once had a collar on it . . . . WM. He was Coach Richt's choice.
By hiring Coach Grantham, appears that Coach Richt learned his lesson and learned it well. Anyone doubts the difference in the two defensive coaches, take a look at what happened against Oklahoma's DB's this past week. Some are not cut out to coach. Plain and simple.
SS has his back against the wall with this upcoming game. He is aware. If he can't beat UGA and Florida . . . . speakes for itself. The upcoming NCAA investigation of their program can only hurt. There will be a full scale look at the hotel and other suspicious things that are apprently facing the SS program.
Have read a lot of blogs since the AJ thingy rose to the top. One that particularly caught my eye, and to a point had to agree. Seems some football knowledged folks seem to think that the Dawgs offense will be better.
Citing Coach Bobo, they seem to think that Coach Bobo felt he had to get the ball to AJ maybe more than should be game planned for. That is talk, understand that. Do know this, watched OC and Wooten in high school in Florida and they are not run of the mill players, by any means. If we game plan properly with the athletes we have on offense . . . 31-17 UGA.
Thanks for the Veteran remark. I am one and damn proud of it.
Go Dawgs!!
