Afternoon to All, So much for the Doom and Gloom and starting a Freshman QB !!

Buc, Tip of the hat on your read of AM, yes he had some things that need to be tweaked
however the two plays that gave me reason to jump for joy.

1. Deep fade to KD, you could not have dropped that pass over the shoulder any better if you were standing on a step ladder next to him.

2. roll out under pressure - eyes down field - OC coming back to his QB- good to see this in a freshman... no panic. OC said just like High School, all great QB's have a security blanket- think Dallas Clark and PM

Blah blah on the "O" line and run offense. Just like the "D" our game plan was as plain Jane
as you can put on the field, two reason let AM get his feet wet and don't tip all your card for SS and the chickens.

Chatter is it would be great if we split with the Hogs and Chickens.. keeping away from the injury bug we win both. I like our chances for another pick 6 out of one of these games also.

It is going to be a treat watching this team grow and learn each week! Go Dawgs

A split with USC or UA???? Never should anybody think that way!!!!! No reason we can't win ANY game we play!!!!

yankeedawg1, if AM stays healthy, and he is one tough young man, he can grow along with all of the young folks on this team . . . . . and maybe a "COUPLE MORE" soon. Have a feeling that Coach Searels has a "COUPLE MORE" folks that are heading to UGA. UGA has the makings of being as good as most of us have seen, maybe ever. I say that in part because of the coaching hires that were recently made. We have for the most part always had talent on the field, our problems were those that are no longer in Athens.

Watched some of the Oklahoma replays . . . . . egad! Nothing has changed with the DB style of play.

Last night watched the game between two worthy opponents. Heck of a game, that is what college football is or should be all about.

My main problem with last nights game was in the final countdown. It bothered me to see VaTech go into a prevent defense . . . . hate it, can not stand it. Was surprised that a tried and true defensive coach would do that. However, he was not getting the type of rush that can be effective in the 3/4.

I said all of that to say this . . . don't think that Coach Grantham will go into too many prevents. Again, that took me back to last year and WM, bend don't break . . . result, 8/5 season. Keep us posted with the goings on in Athens, appears you have an ear to the ground.

I believe to beat teams like SC,Ark,Fla as Ive said before you have to come out right off the bat, And Smack there Q.B. in the mouth!! set the tone early and they will always be off there game the rest of the day. We must play Physical with them. And run the ball down there throats, Smash mouth football!!!! GO DAWGSSS!!!!!
