NCAA Question . . . was created by Buc
This is how involved the NCAA is in college sports. At some point common sense has to rule. This is not like someone taking cash under the table. This happened where a stadium full of folks could witness.
Picked up from the AJC. . .
A lot of people saw and/or heard about Isaiah Crowell’s 90-yard touchdown run in Carver-Columbus’ 14-0 win over Buford this past weekend. What they probably didn’t see was what happened at the end of Crowell’s scoring jaunt. As he celebrated his way back down the sideline, he stopped and spontaneously hugged Georgia coach Mark Richt, according to several eyewitness accounts. Richt was attending the game along with UGA running backs coach Bryan McClendon (and coaches from Auburn, Tennessee and several other schools). Even though Crowell initiated the “contact,” it’s unclear if the hug constituted some sort of NCAA secondary violation. The general rule is only a handshake is permitted. But given the sometimes illogical reasoning in the NCAA manual, you never know.

Sincerely hope that the "illegal hug" (if that is truly the case) is an indication that Isaiah Crowell will give a lot more hugs not only to Coach Richt but many others involved with UGA football.

After watching Bama this weekend, I noticed that they are very deep in GOOD RB's. He SHOULD come to UGA just for that reason alone. He would play immediately.

No way CMR makes the same mistake made with KM. Think Coach Richt learned from that mistake.
I am not really up on Buford's football team, do know that they are producing some quality players. Crowell runs for 90 yard TD, seems to me he had to out run some DB's.

Buc Thanks
Just read that on ajc - the writter says he mentioned the NCAA thing in jest - but you never know what the NCAA will do since they don't like us
wlayton - your right about bama - ton of RB's - also think that may help us - not to mention the hug - but after the wilder incident - this just maybe another twisted ploy
