I'm still worried about the size of the DL in this 3-4:)
This is my take on the DL. Some think that the "nose" has to be not just huge, but huge like 350 pounds or so. Check the "nose" of many pro clubs and we see that is really not the case. Doing flashbacks with my gray matter (right  ) sometimes speed and strength more than make up for the size factor. Brings back memories of Steve Greer . . . long time back.
If I am reading CTG right, think that he plans to have several folks that will play "nose" in this upcoming defense. Keep'um fresh. Also, on the large size, we have a couple of folks that are huge, and if they are able to play, this could be truly awesome. Personally feel that the LB's are the ones under the gun. Have to be active on the run in a 3/4 and also have to be able to cover. This defense could become a force, and I believe they will. :woohoo:
No question AM will be a very good QB when all is said and done. Some sidebar coversation from the several talks he has had with David Greene. David is buying AM stock big time.
Nobody on our schdule has a clue as to what to expect. This group of Dawgs has speed and size plus something that has been missing on defense. Coaching ! not only coaching but teaching the skills needed to win !
Trust me on this, we will not show all our cards the first game. That will come the following week in Columbia.
Coach TG will have something special for each game on "D". Russ Knows !!! Sic'em the most feared words in college football!
