Fox's Dawgs

Anybody stay up late and watch the Dawgs put away the Hogs late last night at the SEC BBall tourney in Nashville? I really like this team! They are well coached, play hard nosed defense, really get after it on the glass, young Travis Leslie is as exciting a player to watch as you'll find and what can I say about young Trey Thompkins, this kid is a beast. Hope we can keep it rolling against the home team from Vandy later tonight; I really like our chances. We split w/Vandy this year winning at home & losing on the road (of course) but we had a late lead in Nashville and simply blew it a few weeks ago & lost by 2.

Goose I did. This team is fast showing us what our new coach is all about. I like it.

He is fast becoming one of the elite coaches in our conference and believe he IS building a program that can be special over the next several years. Has a very calm, calculating and disciplined style, imo. Would be great to play for...it seems.

Hey Yall, I agree CMF has done a good job for his first season here. And yes Trey Thompkins looks like the real deal. Its nice to be excited about BB in athens again. GO DAWGSSSSS!!!!

Well, Vandy shot the lights out against us in the 2nd half and really gave big Trey a hard time w/all of the double & triple teams. In the end, the more complete team won.

How bout that Travis Leslie kid though, what a night he had?! Man oh man do I hope & pray Trey T. comes back for his Jr. year. If he does, and Leslie comes back w/more of an all-round game to go w/his out of this world explosiveness, watch out for the Dawgs in the SEC next year. I'm telling yall, I like the direction this team is heading. The Blue Kittens are definitely gonna lose their 2 best players to the NBA after the Madness is over. UT & Vandy lose key players (Gators return a bunch I do believe) but I know almost all of our young Dawgs are coming back!

Most importantly, we've FINALLY got ourselves a heckuva ball coach in Mark Fox & while it's easier said than done all he's got to do now is lure at least 1 or better yet 2 or 3 big time recruits from the fertile grounds of metro-Atlanta. It would be such a fine sight to see a Stegeman packed to the rafters every night and a well led team of hungry Bulldogs that took no prisoners on the court!

I see good times ahead for these Dawgs of the hardwood.
