Reading David Hale's column this morning, one particular area caught my eye. Such a difference in the mood this year versus earlier times. Below is a portion of the interview with Jon Stinchcomb.

DH: You guys played a tough game against Dallas toward the end of the season that actually turned out to be the first loss of the year for you guys. I'm curious as a guy tasked with stopping that D line, did you get to know much about Georgia's new defensive coordinator, Todd Grantham? What were your impressions of his defense with Dallas?

JS: Dallas is such a talented team. You start with Demarcus Ware, an unsung hero, and Anthony Spencer on the other side. They're just really stacked with talent. But as soon as we made that hire, I'm asking some of our defensive coaches about him. It's such a network when you start talking about coaches and everybody seems to know everybody. And there's been nothing but great things said about him. So I'm excited about it, just the way they described his personality, his coaching style, I'm sure it's going to bring a lot of fire and life to the program.

Young folks on defense, if you have the talent, you apparently have the coaching to go with your skills. Good pit boss sadlerdawg . . . .:)

Came back to this thread, forgot to mention something that means a lot to me and UGA for sure.

Former Professinal Coach Tony Dungy speaking on campus this month. Speaks to the feelings of UGA higher ups and their respect for each other. Coach Dungy also respects Coach Mark Richt, no doubt. Never doubt for a minute that Orson Charles is on campus because of Coach Dungy. TD will never lie or lead a recruit in the wrong direction. His position is faith.

James Wilder, Jr. is rated the #1 player in the State of Florida. Most have him going to Florida, USC or other \"Big Name\" schools. I predict this . . . . UGA is and will be in the running for Wilder before all is said and done. My guess, we will see. . . .

Close with this . . . UGA has two ex-professional coaches that have great interest in the program at our school. One coaches for us, another visits with us and stays in contact with Coach Richt.
