Move Branden Smith to WR

1. We have only 6 WR's returning from last year.
2. We will lose AJ after this year. Most of the ones on the roster after AJ leaves will be posession types.
3. Lakatos supposedly prefers the taller CB's. Someone like Cumming may fit better.
4. I believe we will have 6 CB's on the roster next year even IF BSmith makes the move.

Make him a WR/RB/Punt returner type and DB for the dime coverages.

Just a little thought to keep the blood flowing.

I thought BS was a pretty good cover corner last year. I think he will end up in a Champ role and play on both sides. As for the PR/KR he scared the hell out of me everytime he was back there. I know he was young but he put us in some awkward situations. Fumbles here and there, running out of the endzone on deep kicks. The kid trust his God Giving Talent a little to much but sometimes you need to down the ball and fight another day. I expect to see him everywhere this year and he will be exciting to watch. just hope he learns a little about making to much happen everytime. The 20 yard line isn't that bad of a start....

Not sure he can make the tough catches.....especially over the middle.

I'm not sure he has to. With Charles and White I think we have the middle covered. I would like to see Smith at the edge. I always felt we haven't had a receiver with break-away speed that could get past the secondary to allow us to bomb away.

Ball protection with this guy on the other hand may be iffy. There may be a reason with his speed why he isn't WR after all.

Agree to a point. Can't make him \"just\" a deep threat....too predictable. A WR needs to learn all the routes. Also, can he catch deep balls? Maybe that's why he's a DB.
