Those kids will get what they deserve in making those poor decisions. No matter, we'll be fine.

Seems to me that if the kid is happy with going to UT, then it's not a poor decision for him. I'd rather have guys playing here who are 100% committed to being a Bulldog. I don't want someone who is wishy washy.
These guys are teenagers. When we were their age, we were indecisive about life as well. No reason to beat the guy up over his decision.
JMHO.

What really gets me about this Rogers deal is that CMR has held that scholarship since the kid committed. If he now goes to Tn. this late in the game, it will be impossible to go after another really talented kid for this class. That really tees(rhymes with) me off.

I will tackle this from another angle. I don't blame a kid for thinking short term-heck, I did it too when I was that age. If he goes to UT, fine.
What concerns me as the father of two little girls is the parent's role in this. You are not teaching your kids rightly if you allow them to \"commit\" to one school for 10 months, then back out one day before signing day, leavingt the original school scrambling to get another commit.
The parents's behavior is the REASON kids don't think-they are never exposed to the idea of the decision making process, and they grow up knowing that their word is just that-a word.
Like I said, I don't blame the kid-he is a kid. kid's are, by definition, stupid to the ways of the world, and very ignorant since they don't have life's experiences to draw upon.
That said, the parents should be ashamed of themselves.
And if a dad actually did what some are reporting (getting his kid outta Vandy into UT in return for getting Rogers to go there, that is pathetic. that is a dad wanting to live his life through his boys life. I can tell you RIGHT now, my dream is for my two girls to go to UGA, but if they EVER get a scholarship to VANDY, I would never try to get them into UGA just to appease me.
That Vandy education Nance is turningt down will come back to haunt him (and his \"dad\") when he is working the night shift at Wendy's.
