Any inside info on Da’Rick Rodgers??

I'm afraid Da'Rick is Knoxville bound too; but who knows?

I really hope we can land 5-star Tampa, FL WR Christain Green but he has strong family ties to FSU & they appear to be the leader after his visit & meeting with Coach Jimbo Fisher & staff this weekend. His uncle E.G. Green played at FSU during the 90's but guess who was the OC then, one CMR.

Anyways, if we lose Rodgers I sure hope we get Green but we also are a finalists for Baltimore, MD WR/ATH Adrian Coxson who is a 4-star and has recently decommitted from Penn State & took official visits to both UGA & UF. I'm afraid Kadron Boone is LSU bound but he'll be doing the hat thing tomorrow & UGA will be one of those hats so we'll have to wait & see. I do think we'll land McDonough, GA WR/ATH Jordan Akins.

Ultimately, I just want players w/a good head on their shoulders, a solid work ethic, & most importantly who want to be Georgia Bulldogs!

Goooooooose......We got a 2nd tier commitment today from OL Kenarious Gates. He was committed to Kentucky and also had offers from Vandy and Miss. State. Definitely an offer that we made because of some of our losses in my opinion.

Of the people left, imo, our best chances are with:

WR Kadron Boone (that's what my contact thinks), DT Mike Thornton, and Athlete Jordan Akins ( we just offered him recently)

This will be a decent recruiting year, but nothing special.

UPDATE.........

Rivals reporting that a source told them that Rogers called Richt last night to inform him that he will sign with Tennessee.

hey wlayton, thanks for the feedback & the update...did not know about Gates switching over to the GOOD side. Jeez, just looked him up, he's only a 3-star but my gosh, that boy's got the body to play OT or OG. 6'5\", 298 lbs., his scout.com profile says he's a better run blocker than pass protector but I like that (still hoping/wishing that Bobo would be more committed to the running game). Anyways, I agree w/your assessment, this year's class looks to be solid but not spectacular. Really, really hope we get Thornton after losing Whitaker to the Plainsmen yesterday. Him & either Green or Boone at WR will make me feel a whole lot better. I'm was guessing that Boone is LSU bound cause he wants to run track as well as play football but if wlayton likes our chances, then so does Goose B)

I do feel like our defensive players are going to get \"coached-up\" next year so I'm actually more optimistic about the upcoming season right now than I was at this same time last year.

I'm with ya Goose. Btw, hope everything is going well with you.

You may be right about Boone (makes sense with the track thing), my source thinks we have a good chance though.

Yeah, the D side of the ball was the concern imo and I feel good about next year because of Grantham etc, just like you do. The offense should be pretty darn good.

Ya know people, Tennessee has no quarterback, and they just hired a coach who went 4-8 last year after Muschamp, Gruden, Cutcliffe (who knows the place better than anyone), and the coach from Air Force turned them down. Good luck, Da’Rick!
