wlayton, that was pretty close. His first name was Ed. He, like Larry really loved UGA. Early part of the 60's we were going through some hard times, but Ed Thilenius had a way of making us feel better. At that time he was on Channel 5, WAGA-TV in Atlanta and had a serious Bulldog following. He tried to be neutral in his college football announcing, but it was pretty easy to see where his allegiance was. Munson you know was with Milo Hamilton on the Braves sportscasting team, so at that time it was ET pulling us through, and for my money, we the fans really benefited from Ed and Larry.
