Jeff Dantzler Opinion

JD has said a couple times from what he is hearing, the class of 2011 will be one of those special classes that come salong every 8-10 years. Hope it's true. After a full year of the new blood Dawgs, we may have an opportunity to swing the MO in the East.

You guys and gals have any thoughts????

The 2011 class should be good. I'm expecting lots of firepower on the offensive side of the ball at the very least.

The D is the big question for me. If my understanding is correct we are going to depend more on man coverages because the 3-4 counts on the ILBs to stop the run. Not sure how well that is going to work given we were one of the worst teams in the SEC at stopping the pass, but I am willing to give CTG the benefit of doubt on this one.

I'm hoping the 2011 team is lights out and the 2010 team is the coming out party.

Getdown11, think I can say this safely . . . . there was a reason for our coverage problems last season. Truly believe that question has been answered. I am positive the talent was there last year . . . . this year with many of the same players back, different system and experienced coaches on that side of the ball . . . . . truth will be told. Really believe that it is going to look like the difference between night and day.

I have to agree Buc. Heck, even good coaching can make up for a lack of talent. Beleive we have the missing piece to our puzzle and it wasn't talent!

OOPs. Let me rephrase my question. I meant JD was talking about the recruiting class of 2011. Sorry if there was confusion.

I think he means the guys who are done in 2011, thats how you usually speak of kids in school when they graduate.

And I think they will be fine this year as long as he implements that run defense like he has in the past, that is what has me excited force them to be desperate to throw the ball and that will force bad passes, if they always know they can run on you then there is no reason to take those bad chances. That is what got us beat against bama a couple in 2008.
