It would have been different if Colt McCoy had been healthy and played the whole game.

Bama would have won 45-34 instead of 37-21

Buc I generally agree with everything that you have to post, but not this time. I am not making excuses for UT, just speculating on whether the game is different if CM plays. I personally think it is different. Bama may still win, but the kid has been in New York 2 years in a row. To say that the game would not have been different is ludacris. I have a great respect for Gilbert stepping into that game and looking the Bama D in the face and not backing down. He will be a special player in the years to come.

We got outplayed in ATl, no excuses, but we were in Atl. Remember that.

GATORstrong, we come to these boards for a couple of reasons . . . . to read what others think and to post our opinions. What a sad world it would be if all of us had the same chains of thought.

I can not speak for you of course, but it makes me wonder how much attention you pay to football as a whole, rather than say . . . . Florida football.

The game could have certainly been different if UT does not lose its QB, but the question also arises . . . explain to me with McCoy in the game does it not change the way Bama coached by Saban does not work the gridiron differently . . .

Florida did not lose their QB in ATL, and by the way, TT went to New York more than McCoy did and also came away with the hardware . . . what was the outcome. Is McCoy better than Tebow . . . simple statement would be fine. Bama whipped both UT and UF's butts because they are a better team, with or without the opposing QB playing.

I like it when folks want to quote statistics, especially when they use the \"short\" run.

Ever take the time to check the overall record? Just sayin' . . . .

The media spin on this game is nothing but insane.
I hear more about Texas than an incredibly talented, well coached Alabama team.

Seems the media loves those Texas teams averagedawg. College and Pro.

Reminds me a bit of the treatment THE Ohio State gets nationally. See where THE Ohio State is ranked like 3rd for the upcoming season. Say it again . . . . don't care what conference it is, come spend some time in the SEC, then we will discuss being the media's darlings.

Blackeyed peas and cornbread, the Southern formula for winning football . . . . :woohoo:

I do remember that, and you guys ended up just like we did. NOT THE SEC CHAMPIONS. Second place is still the first loser.
