Boise State and Coach Peterson

Agreed but it IS in the SEC. He makes UK a factor in the SEC and he can write his ticket anywhere.


I personally don't think it is a step down from Boise St to UK. The SEC is the king of college football right now.

Wlayton, I look at it this way. Boise is on the brink of playing for a NC and will have a chance almost every year to play in a BCS game. Kentucky is consistantly 5th best team in the East and to me is not worth leaving a program you have put on the map and everyone is talking about. If it wasn't for Peterson we wouldn't be having this conversation? I would think he would have to goto a school that can recruit big time athletes. top 5 in SEC, Top 3 in Pac !0, and i can't see him getting the Athletes he needs to run his offense in the Big 10 but could do it maybe at Texa Tech, FL State or Miami. I wouldn't want to see him anywhere else because we wouldn't have topics like this to talk about... i like watching his teams play and wondering if he can get them in a NC game. Va Tech has stepped up to the plate to play them next year and with Oregon on the schedule to if they go undefeated we could be talking do they deserve to be in the NC game???????

golferdawg, imo, Boise State would get drilled by UF just like Cincy did. These teams are overated because they don't play ANYBODY.

With the minor exception of Oregon (but was the 1st game of the year), that schedule is pathetic. Give Boise St. our schedule in the SEC and they go 8-4--7-5. Again, just my opinion that you can't compare their conference/schedule to the SEC's slugfest.

I agree about their schedule and yes Fl would beat them just like they did Cinncy.. Thats not my point. But till some schools take the risk to play them they will have this easy schedule and be able to contend for a BCS bowl every year. That's why I wouldn't think Peterson would leave for a job like Kentucky. It would have to be a big time program like FL for him to even think about leaving Boise.

Guess some people in sports like to be \"the big fish in a little pond\". I, for one, believe in competeing with the \"big fish in the big pond\". That's the only way to find out how good you REALLY are. That's probably explains better why I would rather have the UK job. I wouldn't want any asterik's by my name and record because I would want to play the BEST.
