Losing UGA is like losing your own dog. Got to love the dogs and the DAWGS. Come on Dawgs win two for UGAVII. Bring on the next one in line. We need UGA and we need the Seillers.

Sad....really sad. He just got started. Made me hug DJ last night when I heard about it.....averagedawg is right, they are THE best Dawgs, love to be loved on.
UGAChemDawg.....he had heart problems. These dogs are notorious for having all kinds of health issues.
Sad day.

My condolences to the Seiler family.
Although their lives are short, they more than make up for it with their love. There are no better friends than a dog. There is no better dog than an English Bulldog.
So true average. Mine is such a big baby and absolutely feels slighted if he cannot go out and visit the neighborhood and get attention from anything living. Damn good dogs. It's amazing how something can be so tough, strong and solid, but yet still be one of the gentlest creatures around. My Munson and I spent a little extra time together yesterday. UGA passing definitely makes you appreciate what you have in a companion and realize how short your time with them is.
I think mine only has a disdain for flies and ladybugs. They don't stand a chance around him. I'm sure he would destroy any gnats if they were around enough here in Middle TN too!

I believe UGA VII was only about 4 years. That's about four years shy of the normal life expectancy of a healthy English Bulldog.
I'm am by no means knocking the bloodline as there is nothing finer, but I wonder if there is something in the genetics of the recent UGA line. VI passed away from a heart issue as well. That's two in a row cut short due to unexpected heart ailments. Makes me wonder...

To paraphrase:
The DAWG is dead, long live the DAWG.
RIP
