According to the article on the AP today, Ealey doesn't think Spikes should have been suspended.

Quote:
While the war of video tapes rages on, Georgia running back Washaun Ealey told the Associated Press on Tuesday that Spikes \"shouldn't, I think, get suspended at all.\"

And I'm glad that someone finally uploaded a video of one of the dirty plays by a Dawg player.
It's all fuel for next year's game. Both teams will be in rebuilding years so it should be interesting.

I've read all about Ealey's comments. He's an eighteen year old kid. If he lost sight in one or both of his eyes, I believe he might have had a little something different to say.

Oh, I saw Williams cheap shot on TT which should have been a 15 yard penalty.....and if I was CWM, I would have yanked him out of the game and blasted him for it.

GatorinGa,

it doesn't matter anymore what anyone has to say. The media used this to test Myers - and to a lesser degree, the SEC. They wanted to know where the line between ethics and winning was being drawn. They got their answer. The impact this is going to have is beyond mere words now. It takes about 6-8 years for a label to wear off and there is very little that can done once it is applied. The media has a new definition of the UF program =>> Florida is the team that plays dirty with a coach who looks the other way when one of his stars does something.

There's probably a few more days left before the file is closed. A window in which Myers can still change the media perception. But honestly ... I don't think the media perception is very far from the truth and I don't think Myers even realizes what happened. I wonder if Teebow does? You know that TT won't win the heisman now unless he can clearly separate himself from other candidates. Enough media influenced people will vote against this to swing a close race.

uh oh.
This is getting ugly. Myers V ESPN. Round Two.

Now some are saying that Myers violated SEC rules about criticizing officials. I was afraid of this. Some of them want to escalate their moral litmus test to the SEC itself. They say Myers violated rules and should be suspended. I guess we had it coming ... and by \"we\" i mean the family of SEC. There's too much money involved for the suspicion of corruption not to come up somewhere. I think if \"we\" don't play this right they (sports media) might go on a witch hunt.
