That's a pretty big stretch don't you think.
Let's see, if they call that a touchback for MSU, then they get the ball at the 20 with 8.5 mins. to play. They're down 22-13 and up to that point have scored only 6 offensive points and only 180 total yards to UF's 370 yds. Their running game has already been squashed but some how they are going to score a TD and a field goal without UF scoring at all? A victory \"handed\" to them?
Plus, the fumble before crossing the line was not all that clear at all. One of Doe's legs was 2 ft. in the end zone and the other was 2 ft. out of the end zone. Can't really tell where the ball was since there was not a camera shot at the line itself. That being said, if they had ruled it a fumble and a touchback, I would have been fine with that to.
