So why didn't we throw to him down the field? As I recall, we had no throws longer than maybe 12 yards in the air and we didn't send AJ deep ONCE. What's the purpose of having a Heisman candidate receiver if you don't give him a chance to make a play? We all know AJ can break tackles, but his real strength lies in his ability to just out-jump people and catch the ball with his hands. I don't care if they have their best man on him. Every team is going to do that. AJ will still beat him 2 out of 3 times. And if he's in double coverage all game, I expect to see other receivers with big numbers. Needless to say I was very disappointed we didn't try to hit the home run at least ONCE against the cursed Vols.
