Why do we think that Tennessee has this super powerful defense. They held Florida and Auburn to the mid 20's. Big deal. Auburn hasnt played anyone, their opponents combined record is 9-14. That includes a 3-1 West Virginia, who beat Liberty, East Carolina and Colorado. Take them out and the record is 6-13. What gives them this super offense title. Florida, hasnt played anyone. Their offense has more than sputtered this year.So Tennessee holding them to 23 isnt this big miracle. UGA will stop TN run game, and put the game in Cromptons hands. Tennessee would have a better chance with Monte playin QB. They can take the big plays down the field, with AJ and hopefully Orson Charles will see the ball a little bit more(the kid is a freak).
UGA wins 24-10.
I think UGA has a significant chance to win this year. TN has the most inept QB in the conference. All you have to do is stay on the field and wait for him to shoot his team in the foot. You don't need talent to beat TN this year as much as you need mistake-avoidance. If UGA loses it will be because of their penchant for mental mistakes and penalties.
That's this year. Not next. Next year Monte will begine to flex his muscles in the SEC. Spread is dead, they just don't know it yet down in Gainesville. The road to Atlanta will be paved by road-graders. Auburn probably won't be a big threat in future. Saban is going to steal away a bunch of OL and DL recruits. UGA is sitting pretty if they play their cards right. We will have the best combination of recruiting territory and schedule fratricide of any SEC east team. But - to be honest, I don't think either of our coordinators are up to the task.
