The way I see it JC is the one who threw for all those yards and won us those two \"lucky\" games. He also got us down the field for the fg win against ASU. I am not on any JC band wagon but I seem to remember a topic on this site name...Is JC a better passer than MS? So obviously to me he has done something right. Simple and true is that that penalty was crap and you cant make arm tackles in the SEC!
The problem is there is a reason why cox sat on the bench while stafford was there, its becoming obvious that cox does not respond well to pressure, that seems to be his achilles heel and makes him start to force passes. He did it time and time again against Ok St, he did it against LSU and is the reason why the offense is sputtering along, teams know that if we rely on him to complete short passes they can ignore that and concentrate on stopping the run.
Please tell me why, if cox is, \"the only QB richt would choose to be on the field\" then why did he not get any playing time when stafford is there? The answer relies on his game day ability, I would be willing to bet that cox could hit 9-10 or 10-10 on accuracy drills but his abilities do not transfer over to game day. Anyone who plays the game realizes there are some players who just do not perform well under pressure, cox seems to be one of those guys.
