GABoy,
I agree the Dawgs could very well be emotionally and even physically drained?
The coaches definitely need to do something to get our boys pumped and more importantly FOCUSED for Saturday's big game but I've got rather mixed feelings about the Black jerseys. Yes, for both the Auburn and the Bama game, they definitely made for an electric setting but for me, Athens is an electric setting EVERY Saturday in the Fall. I tend to most agree w/sadlerdawg on this topic, save em' for a worthy Senior class to bust out in a truly GIGANTIC game only every 3-4 years or so. IMO, neither the players, let alone 92,000 Dawg fans, should need any extra motivation to play a top 5 (deserved or not) SEC team Btw. the Hedges.
As for UT vs. Auburn, totally agree w/you, I'd rather head up to Knoxville w/the Vols feeling good about a win than fuming after a loss. For some reason, I've always been wary of playing team's coming off a loss even if it's not statistically proven that it's any better or any worse. If the Dawgs weren't playing UT next week I'd be rooting hard for Auburn to beat em' like 60-0 cause I kinda li...well, let me just say, I don't totally hate Auburn.
