Anyone Remember 2007?

Anyone Remember 2007? was created by dapolla
Back in 2007, we had a loss early in a poor offensive performance by a quarterback who threw too many picks and looked lost at times and a running game that hadn't established itself yet. We were winning close games despite our D allowing teams back in games -- especially in the thrilling overtime win over Alabama, during which our defense allowed two ten-point leads to evaporate before giving up the lead in the first overtime period -- and played a TERRIBLE game against Vanderbilt that we won with a last-second field goal.

Something happened with that Vanderbilt game, though. The team came together. Some spark was lit.

Anyone remember what happened after we played almost the EXACT SAME GAME against Vandy two years ago?

Anyone?

I dunno...I'm just saying I felt the way a lot of you are feeling now after that Vandy win. I thought, \"No way we beat Florida. OR Auburn. Maybe not Tech, either. And Kentucky looks scary.\"

I ain't sayin...I'm just sayin'!

Looks like I'm not the only one who's thinking this: grittree.wordpress.com/2009/09/28/which-way-do-we-go-from-here/

Sounds about right. OSU is Carolina and LSU is Tenn.;)

We have no running game, what happened to CT? Wheres Marlon Brown? Why wont we let LG THROW the ball? Why are WRs getting soo much separation form our DBs? The TO are going to bite us where the sun dont shine if we play this way against LSU. Too much talent to struggle with AZ St.

Dapolla, I hear what you're saying. I have had that feeling since USC. This team got punched in the mouth and they stood up and they came out swinging. Will our D or TO's catch up with us? Who knows, but nobody else has really been that impressive either. I can't wait for LSU. I think we are a better team than our fans think we are. Go Dawgs!!!

I agree big dawg. I think we're a better team than we have been given credit for.
IMO, Anytime a team can overcome all the TO's and penalties that we've had in the first
4 games and come out on top 3 times is the mark of a good football team.

However, we can't continue to try and give games away or else someone is going to
snatch one or two away from us.

LSU did not make a very big impression on me last week, and from what I see if we can
limit our penalties and get on the plus side of TO's in this game, we will be fine.

GO DAWGS !!!!!!! GATA !!!!!!!!!

The only thing we need to do differently to beat this mediocre LSU team is to PROTECT THE DAMN BALL. If we give LSU the ball more than once (and, most likely, if we turn it over even once), the Tigers will leave Athens with a W. If we hold onto the rock and play the exact same football we've been playing for the past three games, we will win. LSU is not good. They are as average as us. They just don't turn the ball over as often.

Go Dawgs.
