Great article on CWM

You know everyone is hammering down on CWM and our D. Everyone is justified to a point, but look at what we have played. I read in the paper that Arizona St is number 1 in total D. Their competition has been 2 panty waste teams. We have played 3 quality opponents with pretty good WR's, big WR's. OSU has good WR, QB and RB. We had a bad day offensively and they had enough to survive. SC has some pretty good WR,s and an average QB. Gurley has had 4 TD's called back on penalties. You have to have a little talent to score 4 in 3 games. Ark definitely has an explosive O. So, we have played 3 quality opponents and our D has has been hung out to dry in every game. If you take away the TO's the O has been great. The D can not play any worse than they have. There is a possibility that the secondary or coaching whatever the problem can show up soon. I would much rather have our D that is ranked at the bottom of the nation right now, than ASU who is ranked number 1 and they really don't even know if they are really even an average D. the DAWG\"S have a lot on their plate for the remainder of the season. Who knows how they finish the season. Here is my question, What will everyone be screaming if this bunch of DAWG's run the table? What if we finish with 2 losses? We had a bunch of questions at the start of this season. Is JC as good as we have always heard? Is a RB going to fill the void? Is someone going to help out AJ? Will our D ever show up? Do not get me wrong. I really don't think CWM or CMB are the coordinators that will get us to a NC, but they both have decent records. If we finish this year with 2 losses with this schedule, it will be hard to question them. We set on this forum and talk a lot of smack about all of our football knowledge. These guys are payed pretty well to lead a quality program week in and week out. Lady luck may have decided to shine on UGA this year. I really hope that I have to post an apology to CWM CMB on this site one day soon.

It's simple......if we only lose 2 games all year.....give Bobo a huge raise, he will have worked his butt off having to lead the nation in scoring offense.

Yes, the SC vs Ole Miss game makes you frown even more on our defenses performance thus far but looking at the bright side, what does that say about our explosive offense considering we hung 41 on SC (34 if you don't count the Boykin's kickoff return). Pretty IMPRESSIVE!

I got no problem w/Bobo other than I wish he wouldn't go entire series w/o getting the ball in our running backs hands (whether it be a handoff, pitch, or a screen or a swing pass). Seems like he gets a little pass happy sometime but hey, I guess I would too w/AJ Green split out wide.

My all-time favorite drive ever orchestrated by Bobo was the 1st offensive series of the game against UF in 2007. Knowshon left, Knowshon right, Knowshon up the middle...8 straight hand offs and then a Big Ol' Dawg Party in the Endzone! That's the type of hardnose, pound em' into submission UGA offense that I think we could succeed with behind our now veteran O-line. Seems to serve Bama very well and sets up the passing game for even more big gainers.

I'd also love to be one of the thousands of Dawg fans who would owe CWM an apology after he turns our defense around!

I understand you have waited for the D to show up the past 2 seasons, but what about the O against Okie State, or Florida in 08, or Bama in 08, or GT in 08. The O didn't show up at all against OSU or UF and only played the second half against Bama and the first half against GT. All of these are losses that you blame on CWM, but the O didn't show up or give you a complete game. Regardless of these things, CWM doesn't have a chance. All I hear is Van Gorder, Muschamp and the list goes on. These guys have not won any titles. They consistently give their teams 1,2, and 3 loss seasons which is what we consistently get. I thought a 2 loss season was a successful season at the beginning and I still do. If you really expect UGA or UF or USC to go undefeated and not hit any bumps in the road then you will never and I mean never be completely satisfied with any coach or coordinator we have. Everyone says we want to compete for NC's. Let me tell you guys something, we compete for a NC every year we just come up a little short. Anybody in the nation will tell you that UGA has everything in place they just need a little luck. I will continue to be optimistic about this D and team until they are officially having a 3 or 4 loss season because I choose to be realistic. I am a little critical myself, but I think this team is special and will believe until proven wrong.

I can accept losses......just not 49-10 type spankings. With the talent we have we shouldn't have the dissappointing blowouts we've been having. Last year if we had lost those 3 games by 3-7 points in each game, that is playing good D but just came up a little short. What was that stat mentioned before?.....BVG only gave up 30 points ONE time in 42 games and that was to the BCS Natl. Champ!!!!
