I have been to Athens a few times to watch a game, usually get there in enough time to get to game. I usually stay away from traveling to games because it eats up a whole day. However, my daughters love UGA and would love to touch him. I have heard rumor that on game day there is a time and place where you can pet him and take a picture. My family consists of 5, so probably will not buy tickets. My wife and myself are considering going to Athens, taking in the festivities all day long and listening to the game on the radio while traveling home since the game is on ESPNU. My children are young and will be tired by game time anyway. A friend wants me and the wife to go watch the game without the kids, but how can you go to something like that and not take your kids. I can already see the smiles on their faces when I tell them we are going to Athens to see UGA. Can someone tell me if meeting UGA is even a small possibility and where to go? I think this would be a great family day.
