GEORGIA'S DEFENSE GOOD, BAD, UGLY

15 years 2 months ago #23504 by WSR
After watching Georgia's first two games of the season, Georgia has allowed 61 points in two games and has scored 51 points... The Good, the bad and the Ugly.

The Ugly - 61 points allowed on defense. How will the Defense need to improve?
The Bad - Two important players are out for the season for injuries on offense and defense. Thank God CMR cross trains players.
The Good - Joe Cox - Oklahoma State stats 15/30, 162 yards, 1 TD, 1 Int. South Carolina 17/24 201 yards, 2 TD, 1 Int. Georgia's Quarterback Joe Cox has begun to show a little poise in the pocket. We will see how he reacts to his first SEC win and lead Georgia into Fayetteville this weekend.
Justin Houston returns from two game suspension.
The Offensive Linemen, with the experience that the linemen bring to the game this year they have allowed the rushing that Georgia needs and protection for Joe Cox.
Rennie, Curran enough said.

The defense needs to improve dramatically. I also don't see any \"reckless abandon\" except with a few key players such as Curran. Most of what needs to improve is with the def coordinator - Martinez. Hate to say it but it is time for a change. Not only has the D given up 61 points but they did not stop Ok State or South Carolina. The offense has looked good at times but without any D we will only have limited success this year. I am expecting at least 3 to 4 losses.
