I agree, a win in the SEC is good no matter how you get it. I was glad to see JC silence all the critics. Our offense is getting better and better week by week, and that's great to see. My problem is in our secondary. While we held a decent offense to 77 yards rushing, they just ate up our secondary. People were running all over the place open. Mallet could've had quite a bit more than the 408 yards he threw for. Toward the end of the game, Mallett missed some open receivers at crucial times... and they were open! I am as loyal of a Dawg fan as anyone, but how long are we going to keep playing like this in our secondary. We moved Evans to Safety because he kept getting burned deep on the corner and guess what, he's getting burned over the middle! I don't see Prince covering that well either. They looked confused sometimes. This isn't all their fault either. We are still not getting enough consistent pressure on the QB to make him uncomfortable in the pocket.
On the other hand, Cox was great (18/26/375/5 TD's).Receiving corps looked great with a lot of our young guys becoming bigger and bigger cogs in our offense. Offense was efficient enough to overcome a lot of penalties. Blair Walsh was clutch with field goals(He hasn't missed one yet and his ain't chip shots). How 'bout Drew \"Howitzer\" Butler. This gut leads the NCAA's by 4 yards a kick! Guys in the middle were tough against the run. Rennie was Rennie (11 more tackles and a fumble recovery). Boykin set us up pretty good again with some good KO returns. Let's eliminate the penalties and turnovers. Let's cover someone. Let's get back to work and get ready to get after those Sun Devils!!!! GO DAWGS!!!!
