A Coaching Question was created by Buc
Have taken the time to scout around the rest of the league (SEC) and read much of what is being said about the other teams and get a feel for where many of their fans and players are. Turns out that most of the other teams are more than satisfied with the beginning of this season and primarily their coaches.
On our site and many of the media outlets that cover UGA, seems to be just the opposite. Some are disgruntled with Coach Bobo, others with WM, and for some time now the kicking and kick coverage teams have been getting hammered.
I bring up the kicking game because of a article that I read that really hit home with me. There seems to be a lot of disagreement or should I say, uncertainty about how our Special Team play has performed. Think that we can all agree that Coach Richt was not real happy with our kicking game last season and went looking for someone that could on occasion kick the pigskin into the end zone.
One last comment about special teams and will link a site. UM is the head man of course at UF. Special team play has been his baby, and one of the primary reasons that field position usually works in Florida's favor. If you have read the link below, you probably understand the point that I am trying to make, if not, read and draw your own conclusions. I really feel that CMR has to tighten things up a bit. Don't understand what is going on with the talent that resides in Athens.

I watched the game again late last night on ESPNU. I gained more
from it the 2nd time around.
1. The 1st TD catch Dez made in the end zone..he probably only
catches that particular pass one outta 10 times.
2. The 2nd TD catch it looked as if our Defensive guys responsible
for covering Dez were fatigued... either physically or heatwise.
There's your 14 pts we lost by.
Now its time to move on to the real games, the SEC begins Sat Night
and knowing Darth Visor he will have some tricks up his sleeve,
especially after scoring only 7 pts against NCST last week.
Whether we kick the ball deep Saturday,or Kick it high and short,
just be sure we kick butt after the kick...thats the main thing.

Buc, to put it bluntly.....during CMR's regime, we have always and I mean ALWAYS stunk in kick coverage. NO EXCUSE FOR THAT. And Smith running the ball out of the endzone....either COACH him up or BENCH him. Again....NO excuses.
OH and what about last year fielding punts INSIDE our 5 yard line?????????? Unbelievable.

Yeah our special teams have been horrible and the only thing I have a real problem with is willie letting teams back in the games once the offense got ahead.
Its becoming quickly obvious that Cox just isnt healthy and should not just be given the starting job because hes a 5th year senior, and if they reports are true then he needs to sit now.

Thats exactly what i've been thinking this entire week and then this morning when I read the article about his shoulder. I wish him the best but either help the team out or go back to the seat that you occupied during MS's time.
