Rumor about Sat game

I just talked with \"my guy\" and he tells me that the rumor in Athens is that LG is going to start Sat against USC. Also, it isn't because of Cox's play last Sat but that his shoulder is bothering him (maybe that's why his passes looked so weak). LG took ALL the snaps yesterday at practice with the 1st unit.

There are actually reports on other blogs disputing this information. Regardless, CMR has a regularly scheduled presser today...the truth will be heard soon.....At this point its most rumor.....If true, I wanna see AM take some snaps.....

May be rumor but it's fact that he took all the snaps with the 1st unit yesterday.

ESPN seems to think it's a pretty credible rumor.

Whoops! They just changed the story to say that Joe Cox is starting!

Maybe HYPEspn shouldn't report ANYTHING until they get a credible source. Then again, this IS Chris \"I'm in love with Phil Fulmer\" Low who's reporting here...

Hmmmm--interesting.
I was doing a little patrolling over on CockyTalk (an SC site) a few hours ago and I saw a thread about Logan Gray starting for an injured Joe Cox but thought nothing of it since it was a Gamecock site and a RUMOR at that.

But, now that dapolla has posted a link and more importantly, wlayton has a source from the practice field, perhaps it is true? For the record, I'm still behind Joe Cox 100% but if his injury gives LG a chance to lead the Dawgs, and LG leads them to a victory, then I'd say wlayton's crystal ball speaketh the truth (just a little earlier in the season than expected).

Guess we'll know later this afternoon whether it's our redshirt Senior or our redshirt Sophomore leading us into our 1st SEC battle.

Either way, I just hope MB sticks w/the ground game even though it'll be tough to average more than 3.5 ypc against SC's tough defense but more importantly, PLEASE, NO MORE INJURIES!!!

I bet the SC players are licking their chops right about but that's fine by me, we all know a wounded Dawg is a dangerous animal!
