Ok since it is Thursday I'm going to start a thread on this weeks up coming game against SC.
After watching SC vs NCST last week I'm not to afraid of Spurrier's offense in Columbia. I don't think Garcia is going to win it for them plus the SC running game is pretty average. It's up to the Dawgs to force mistakes. Hopefully we can find some pressure from the outside this week.
The SC D is pretty good. They were in the NCST backfield all night it seemed and held them to 133 total yards. Granted it's NCST but it is all we have to go on so far. Also SC always plays us tough. Personally we need to do a better job of holding on to the ball. Special teams coverage needs to get better and we need to be more efficient on the vertical passing game. We don't need to bomb it away. This game is winnable. We will win.
Personally I think we should run the rock and run it some more this week. Wear out the SC D and and setup for the play action. We don't need to get cute with the playcalling. Short passes and running between the tackles. Take a shot down field from time to time to keep the D honest and the Dawgs win big.
The Dawg D did well against OSU offense last week and SC doesn't have the playmakers to get up on us. Last week we gave OSU 10 pts and Dez Bryant made a diving catch in the end zone for 17 of their 24 pts.
I'm going to go out on a limb and predict the pissed off Dawgs win big at home this week. 30-10 Dawgs.
