Who Else...?

Who Else...? was created by dapolla
I'm a big Georgia fan. That's why I'm here. But I wonder sometimes if I'm alone. Let me ask you all something. Of all the people on this forum, who else...

...cries when we beat Florida?

...has not just a lucky wardrobe for Gameday, but for the entire week leading up to the game?

...listens to radio broadcasts of the previous year's game against a team we're playing that week?

...has to make the same promise to him/herself every year before the first game of the year: \"This is the last piece of Georgia memorabilia I'm buying until next season, I promise.\"?

...feels sorry for Scott Howard every time he calls a Georgia game not because he'll never be Larry Munson, but because he'll never get to broadcast with Larry again?

...will still wear his/her black jersey to a home game this season?

...occasionally wakes up in mid-March and checks to see if we really did lose to South Carolina, only to realize that it was only a terrible dream, and that college football won't start for another six months?

...walks the Sanford Street Bridge alone on gameday, just to take in the campus on which you spent some great years one more time before kickoff?

...yells along with Larry, no matter how many times you've seen the highlight, \"Lindsay Scott! Lindsay Scott! Lindsay Scott!\"?

...quotes statistic after statistic to friends and family proving that Georgia will not lose a game in the upcoming season, and quotes statistic after statistic to yourself proving that Georgia will not win a game until 2010?

...just laughs when non-SEC people talk about Darren McFadden or Tim Tebow or Peyton Manning, because they never saw Michael Johnson pull an SEC title out of the air, and they never saw Herschel simply outrun three South Carolina defenders who had perfect angles on him, and they never saw Joe Cox beat Colorado through sheer willpower, and they never saw Knowshon leap bodily over Vince Agnew, and they never saw Uga V bite him off a piece of War Eagle?

...still says \"Man Enough\" under his/her breath every time we win a game we weren't projected to win?

...is a little conflicted about Frankie Sinkwich and Herschel Walker winning a trophy named after a guy who coached for Auburn and Georgia Tech?

...doesn't want to admit that he/she roots for Auburn the way Peyton Manning roots for Eli?

...has ever taunted Tech fans by saying, \"You couldn't even beat Preston Jones\"?

...is still mad at Quincy Carter for the 1998 Tech game?

...selects a new car partially based on whether it's red, black or silver?

...no matter which Uga presides now, no matter which Uga has the most championships or wins or photo-ops, still secretly believes that though they were all Damn Good Dawgs, the best Uga is the one who held sway during his/her attendance at UGA?

...brags not about Vince Dooley being the best coach ever, but about him being the best athletic director in history?

...cannot WAIT to get back down to Athens, and I mean right now!!!

GOOOOOOO DAWGS!!! SIC 'EM!!! WOOF WOOF WOOF WOOF WOOF!!!!!!

Yes, dapolla, I'm right there with you.

I still get choked up when we beat Florida. Hell, I still get choked up when I watch replays of the 1981 Sugar Bowl win over Notre Dame or the clock running out against Auburn and Munson is saying \"look at the Sugar fallin' from the sky\".

I still want to jump up and down when I watch replays of Lindsay toting the rock against Florida.

I take one hour and forty five minute Sunday afternoon drives to Athens to take that walk you refer to across that bridge.

I throw away a Georgia shirt if Georgia loses the first time I wear it. (All Georgia shirts are purchased in Athens because it ain't a real Georgia shirt if it didn't come from Athens.)

Have always worn road black to away games no matter how hot it is. Own two black #7, one black #24, one white #34, and one red #20 jersey.

Can walk into my Dawg room at home, dim the lights, look around at all the memorabilia and faintly hear Munson's intro at home games in my head,(That doesn't mean I'm crazy, does it, guys?)

Talk to all the Clemson and Carolina fans who'll listen about Georgia stats, history, and recruiting.(which is always better than their's)

Still refer to Tech as our \"minor league club\", and tell Tech fans that they ought to feel good because in high school, second in the state ain't bad.

Own a white female English Bulldog who sports a UGA cheerleading outfit. Also own two silver and two white cars, plus a red motorcycle so my magnets and flags won't clash! (Every vehicle sports a G on it.)

....and I go crazy waiting for the season to start the moment I leave Sanford Stadium on G-Day. So, yes dapolla, there is at least one person who is just like you out here. People say I am borderline obsessed, to which I reply, \"If you ain't a Dawg, you just wouldn't understand\". GATA Dawgs!!!!;)

I to am the same way during the season and even in the off season. I have an office in my up stairs, and it is done in red with UGA border. I have nothing but UGA pictures and glasses, clocks staduim ect. I have UGA shirts I wear every Friday before each game as my good luck. I also wear UGA clothing as does my wife on game day. Sometimes when I am washing my car, I will even put in one of my UGA tapes with old Larry calling the game and get chills just listening. I to get so nervious when I watch a game, and if we are playing bad, I will go to another room and no watch, thinking that it is me that is bring them bad luck. Sure enough, some times my wife will come and tell me you sould have stayed, we have came back or we won the game. I know it stupid, but at least I can watch the rebroadcast of the game on CSS and not be so upset. You'd think after 57 years, I not take this game so serious. I just wanted to share some of my habits along with the rest of ya'll.

I am so nervious as I am writing this and we are still weeks away from kick off.

Dawgs forever

I send my wife out of the room, as she is terrible luck. Every time she walks in, the other team scores. However, I think her father's favorite activity in the world is watching me watch Georgia games. He just sits back and laughs while I throw my hat, come up out of my chair, and watch half the game from my knees six inches from the TV screen. He's watched me watch two Tennessee games (they live south of Nashville), both blowouts, one a Georgia win and one a loss. I don't think he's ever had a better time.
